A disease is defined as an abnormal condition of
an organism which affects the functions of its body. The disease
develops conditions of pain, dysfunction, injuries, syndrome and may
lead to death of the person affected.
Many diseases are caused by malnutrition so they are
called as deficiency diseases.
Vitamin and mineral deficiencies have been two of the
basic causes of disease in both human and animal.
